Valentines Day Concert

Treat a loved one to a special evening of live music provided by local talent. The concert is held in the Boston Museum of Fine Art.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

This much loved parade sees locals and tourists line the streets for a day of fun for all the family. The parade starts at 1pm and features a whole host of colourful floats that travel through the Irish neighbourhoods located in South Boston.

Boston Marathon

The annual Boston Marathon is a popular sporting event where over 20,000 runners compete on a 26 mile course, whilst raising money for charity. The event is held on the third Monday of April, and competitors are required to attend a qualifying race to ensure that they can complete the marathon within a certain time period.

Brownies Swim

Once a year on New Years Day, hundreds of people take part in the annual brownie swim, which involves plunging into the icy cold waters of Boston’s Harbour. If you’re not brave enough to take part, then join the spectators who gather to cheer on the swimmers from the safety of the harbour banks.

Haitian Parade

The third Sunday in May sees another parade set off from Mattapan Square and travel round to Blue Hill Avenue. This time its in honour of everything Haitian, with an afternoon of brightly coloured floats, live music and traditional dance .

Gay Pride Parade

On the second Saturday in June, the national Gay Pride Parade takes place, which sees a revellers celebrate in outrageous outfits. There is also live music and a number of stalls offering international food.

Boston Harbourfest

The Boston Harbourfest is a popular 6 day long festival, which is held annually over the 4th of July in the historic downtown district. The festival consists of several main and daily events, including parades and workshops.

Caribbean Carnival

The Caribbean carnival is held annually on the last Sunday of the month, and is one of the largest parades in the city. People fill the streets for a day full of Caribbean music and delicious authentic foods in a lively party atmosphere.

Boston Film Festival

This two week long festival features films from up and coming and established talent. The film festival is located in Loews Copley Place, and tickets can be purchased in advance.

National Hockey League

Sports fans will love watching the fast-paced hockey games, which happen throughout the month of October.

Peaceful Expressions

November brings an annual one day concert, which is held in honor of previous Nobel Peace Prize winners. Enjoy an evening of live music from different genres. All tickets must be purchased in advance.

First Night

A popular way to bring in the New Year is the First Night celebrations. Starting from the early afternoon and going on until the early hours of the morning, this celebration sees fireworks, live music, and dance happen in an alcohol free environment, making it suitable for all the family.
