Helldorado event

The annual Helldorado event takes visitors back to the Wild West of Las Vegas. A four day pro-rodeo is the highlight of the festival which also includes a carnival parade, a gold treasure hunt, art shows and auctions, golf and poker tournaments and plenty of food stalls.

The Las Vegas Film Festival is an important event in the industry’s calendar. Its aim is to bring independent film audiences and filmmakers closer together whilst celebrating the best of American and international talent. Film screenings, seminars and competitions all take place over three days.

Mardi Gras

The covered Fremont Street hosts Las Vegas’ very own Mardi Gras every March. The spectacularly glitzy event involves a procession of dancers and people in fancy dress as well as a fantastic light show. Shopping, gambling and eating are all favourite activities at this over-the-top festival.

Jazz and R&B Festival

For two days each April the Las Vegas City of Lights Jazz and R&B Festival at the Clark County Amphitheatre entertains hundreds of people. With a line up of top jazz and R&B artists the festival is family friendly and welcomes picnickers to the outdoor event.

Baseball season

The baseball season is well under way in America in August and in Las Vegas the Las Vegas 51s draw in the crowds. The games are held at the Cashman Field and are an excellent way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the casinos for a few hours.

Every year the Las Vegas Natural History Museum hosts the Dinosaur Ball to raise funds for its various programmes. Guests are welcomed with a cocktail reception and a silent auction is held before the evenings entertainment gets underway.

Vegas Valley Book Festival

For lovers of literature, the annual Vegas Valley Book Festival is the place to be. With emphasis placed on writers from the state of Nevada, the five day event sees workshops, readings, book signings and much more taking place.

National Finals Rodeo

The “superbowl” of rodeos is held every December in Las Vegas. Cowboys and cowgirls from all over the world come to compete for the title of events such as bareback riding, saddle bronco riding, bull riding and tie-down roping.
