Great Wines Fair

Sample some of the tastiest and most exclusive wines in France at the Carrousel du Louvre. The event is held at the same time and place as the Bibliophile Book Fair, so both wine and literary lovers will be happy.

Paris Fashion Week

The French are known for their good fashion sense, which can particularly be seen around Paris Fashion Week when thousands of designers, models and celebrities attend the 7 day long event in the Carrousel du Louvre.

Paris Marathon

The Paris marathon sees 37,000 runners compete on a 42km course, which weaves its way from the Champs-Élysées to Foch Avenue. Anyone over the age of 18 is allowed to enter, but a doctor’s certificate showing that the runner is physically fit enough to run the marathon is required.

Chinese New Year

Join in with the Chinese New Year celebrations in the downtown Quartier Chinoir, when the area is full of traditional decorations and lanterns for a week in January. The event includes live entertainment, lion dancing, parades, fireworks and authentic Chinese cuisine.

May Day

On June the 21st the French celebrate the shortest day of the year with a beautiful fireworks display at the Île Saint-Louis, which is watched by spectators from the Quai Saint Bernard.

Bastille Day

One of France’s most important celebrations is Bastille Day, which marks the commencement of the French Revolution. Join in the festivities at the Champs-Élysées on the 14th of July, when military parades, ceremonies, dancing and live music performances take place throughout the day.

Classical Music Festival

The beautiful Parc Floral hosts an annual outdoor music festival, which features some of the world’s most talented classical musicians.

Art Paris

Held over the last two weeks of September, the annual Art Paris Fair showcases paintings, photographs and sculptures from some of Europe's most talented up-and-coming artists. The event is held in the Carrousel du Louvre and tickets can be purchased online, or at the event entrance.

Le Salon Du Chocolat

Chocolate lovers will adore this Chocolate themed event held in the last week of October. It features demonstrations from France’s most talented chocolatiers, and an interactive Chocoland where children can sample chocolate from around the world, and learn how it is made.

Festival des Inrockuptibles

November sees a series of live music events put on by the famous French magazine Inrockuptibles. It is held in different venues across the city - check the website for what’s on and ticketing information.

The Mystery of Christmas

The traditional nativity story is performed by talented actors in front of the beautiful Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral during the month of December, and in the beginning of January.
